Training

There is no mystery to using speech recognition technology.  However the software is interactive and requires a paradigm shift for most new users.  Lack of expert training is a common reason people fail to keep using speech recognition. Worldwide, experience has shown that people who receive specialised tuition have a much higher success rate, learn the software easier and faster and remain devoted users and disciples of speech recognition.

Because no two users are alike, we offer flexible training packages tailored to the individual’s needs. All training over 1 hour includes a Voice Perfect training manual, Voice Perfect cheat sheet for your reference use.

We offer 1-1 training onsite in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch regions, training outside these regions is subject to our travel plans.

Vocabulary Building

When it comes to general dictation, Dragon NaturallySpeaking is capable of producing spectacular results right out of the box. But in any industry where the language is a little more specialised, results can be mixed.

Sound Business Systems have built a number of vocabularies specifically for use in the New Zealand medical and legal sectors.
If the vocabulary you need is not currently available, we can build a customised vocabulary especially for you, which will produce great results immediately by adjusting the dictionary and vocabulary.

Dictionary
This is simply the list of words that the program can recognize. We will analyse your existing documents and add any words and phrases that Dragon does not already know.

Vocabulary
This is the statistical information associated with a vocabulary that describes the likelihood of words and sequences of words occurring in the user's speech. We use special tools to analyse your existing documents and build a language model specifically for you.
