- The editions have been renamed:
- Standard is now Home
- Preferred is now Premium
- Professional remains the same
- Dragon can now adjust its performance to take advantage of more powerful PCs, and will also now run on low-end processors such as the Intel Atom – so you can now run Dragon on a Netbook!
- The User Interface (UI) has been greatly enhanced, with a new Dragon ToolBar and changes to the Correction & Spell dialog boxes.
- Improved speed and accuracy (of course!), including Recognition Analytics that detect poor audio quality and alerts the user.
- Full support for new applications including Microsoft Office 2010.
- Big improvements to the correction process, including a “don’t recognise that word” command to fix repetitive misrecognitions. Dragon also now learns from all edits, including keyboard edits.
- A much better way of handling multiple instances of a word or phrase – no more “select again….select again…” when formatting or correcting.
- Many new commands for launching applications and folders, switching between windows, searching etc.
- Direct support for transcribing recordings in .dss and .dss2 file formats, along with some great new tools for 3rd party editing.
- All versions now have full support for MS Outlook.
